Construction:

The lower capacity units of the stabilizer, up to 50 KVA are in air cooled single unit construction. For the convenience of transportation & installation, the other higher capacity unit has two piece constructions. The inter-connecting cables and bus bars are provided with equipment. Further, both sections are floor mounting type and one among the two is oil cooled depending on requirement of the clients.

Operation:

The work of the voltage stabilizer is to add or subtract the incoming voltage so as to obtain steady voltage as output. The amount of voltage that is to be added or subtracted is obtained from the main itself. The subtraction and addition is done using a VARIPaC - a continuously variable voltage auto Transformer which is driven by a servo motor under the control of voltage sensing relay. The relay used in VARIPaC senses the output voltage continuously with a highly stable reference. These servo controlled voltage stabilizer relay is also responsible for directing the drive motor to correct the output voltage to the set level.
